Northern Trust has been selected to provide global custody and investment accounting services for Western Provident Association, a private health insurer based in Somerset, UK. Northern Trust will service WPA’s Asian equities mandate. “We were looking for a global custodian that understood our requirements around investing in overseas markets and the team and expertise to work with our investment manager in Hong Kong,” says John Pugh, finance director at WPA. “It is important for us to have a dedicated relationship manager in London with local expertise but also knowing that our assets are being looked after in Asia. We feel Northern Trust will deliver on these two fronts.”
