The US dollar suffered a double whammy of bad news yesterday when September consumer confidence data posted its worst reading since February coming in at 48.5, against an expectation of 52.5. Ignis hires Mark Lovett as chief investment officer – equities
Ignis Asset Management has nominated Mark Lovett as chief investment officer – equities. Lovett will join Ignis on 4 October and will be responsible for overseeing more than GBP10bn of institutional and retail equity assets across Ignis’ proprietary fund range. Blackstone and Patria create partnership in Brazil
The Blackstone Group and Patria, a Brazilian alternative asset manager, have formed a partnership in which Blackstone would purchase a 40 per cent stake in Patria and the two firms would agree to cooperate in building their businesses in Brazil and throughout South America. Apex Fund Services is developing its North American fund administration services and client base with the opening of its Canada office in Toronto. Apex Fund Services (Canada) will be managed and run by Alex Chapman.
